That's what I did today.
I had been wanting to go to the library recently to get some good cook books on Italian cookery, but I was distracted, of course. My friend had suggested that if I ever wanted to read a book that I should definitely read A Walk to Remember. I didn't think much of it, really. She told me it was a romance novel, and of course, when you think romance you think Harlequin romance novels. Not my cup of tea. But, then again, Amy doesn't read books like that.
Soo... I checked it out. I began reading it this afternoon, and I was just hooked. I finished it about five minutes. I'm not going to say anything about it except that it was recently made into a movie starring Mandy Moore. It's definitely something I'll rent when it comes out on video!
Let's just say, I cried!
The next book on my list is Under the Tuscan Sun. It's a journal so to speak about a woman who lives in Italy. She just talks about her life there and the love she has for the country. I'm really looking forward to reading this. You know, to prepare for Italy.
My mom told me that next fall she wants to go to Boston! She's dead serious about going as well, and I'm just so excited about it! It's just... I don't know! Something I've wanted to do. See the places my mom use to go... maybe visit her hometown.. eat fried clams! *laughs*
Go to the North End! *laughs* My mom said that if I never get to actually go to Italy for some reason, I should just go to the North End of Boston. It would be like stepping into Italy..
Who knows! Maybe I'll be able to go to both! Would be a dream...
I'm beginning to miss Rossy something fierce... I don't know where he is.. I just know he hasn't been on yahoo much at all.. unless I've been missing him.. I don't know... I just like talking to him..
