I went to Hot Topic yesterday with Trish, Elle, and Johanna to buy some t-shirts and my emo glasses, but from the minute I walked in, I was mesmerized. Never did get my emo glasses! ;) I could NOT take my eyes off of this one guy that worked there.
And guys, he's about 5'8ish... not the skinniest guy in the world... actually, not my type at all! *laughs* But, god, he'll do just fine! ;)
But, damn, I was in awe. From the minute we walked in, he was helping Elle and I out. He kept on asking if we had what we wanted. If we liked a certain shirt or pants. Or if there was anything that we were looking for inparticular. I just could NOT stop looking at HIM! Ahh!! I was falling! Hehe..
I had gotten two shirts. One that said "Loser Magnet" which is amazingly true... and another that reads "I <3 shy guys". Well, he was talking to Elle and me, and he says, "So, what have you guys found?" and Elle shows him her stuff and I show him what I got.
I ask "are you a shy guy?" and he's like "NO!! I'm totally out there! Not a shy guy at all!" I'm like "yea... I like out there guys myself.. sometimes a shy guy is mysterious, tho.."
And he says "But, you like a loud guy, too, right?"
And I nod my head, and he's says. "Ok. So, I'm going to go now.." and we both basically blush and walk off.
Elle is laughing at me at this point because I'm A DORK!
So, I'm telling her that I'm thinking he's a cutie, which, by the way, guys, I don't have to tell her because she knows. My sister can tell these things.
So, we check out. As we leave, he encourages us to eat these jolt candies my sis has gotten. And he tells me to chew the candy right then and there because it won't taste nearly as bad. I'm think "yea.. if you were ugly, this wouldn't be happening..."
Sooo... we're out of Hot Topic, and I tell Elle.. "yea, he was HOT! He's a total cutie pie.."
Johanna and Trish look at me. Johanna says, "You want his number?"
Now, let me tell you, I'm a chicken shit to the absolute CORE! If I think a guy is cute, I will wait until he approaches me! So, I'm shaking my head now, and Elle is saying yes. So, they leave to go get his number as I'm shaking my head no. They are gone, and I'm still haking my head no.
Elle says "What do you have to lose?"
Shopping at Hot Topic is what I have to lose, really.
So, we go into the bathroom because Elle has to pee and I have to throw up what I had to eat at Olive Garden earlier. Suddenly, that's when it hit me.
"OH MY GOD! What if he thinks I'm ugly! What if he thinks you're me!? And he's all 'ooh.. she was cute? I'll give it to her!!"
Elle is going to the bathroom, so, she's ignoring me, but the bathroom-goers are having a nice laugh. One girl was actually very sympathetic. So.. I'm freaking out, when, suddenly, Johanna and Trish come back in the bathroom...
"soo....??"
She hands me Hot Topic receipt with sloppy black guy handwriting that reads "Rob" and a number on it.
"you got the number..." Johanna smiles.
I jump up and down like a dumbass! "OH MY GOD! You guys got it!! What did you say! How'd it happen!!!! DETAILS!!!"
The sympatehtic blonde congratulates me! Which, I thought, was very nice..
So, comes to find out, Johanna and Trish went back and hunted "rob" and said "Hey.. our friend, Mary, the short one in black... thought you were cute. She was wondering if she could have your number..."
He was all about giving his number...
Ahh.. I'm in a little bit of my own heaven now..
Now, it's just a matter of grabbing the bull by the balls and calling it...;)
